IT helpdesk worker Jasvinder Randhawa, 28, had borrowed the 12-year-old Subaru Impreza from his brother.

But he let his friend Jaspal Virdee, 28, drive and she lost control, killing herself, Jasvinder and colleague Anita Heer, 25.

The Subaru flipped and crashed through a wall, ending up on the lawn of a house in Wombourne, near Wolverhampton, Staffs.

All three, who worked for steel firm Carillion, died instantly.

At the scene of the crash yesterday there were 20ft skid marks stretching across a grass verge and a slip road.

Jasvinder's brother Harvinder, 24, from Wolverhampton, bought the car on Monday. He said: "Jasvinder had left in it 20 minutes before the crash. My family is devastated. He was a great lad who had a good job and his whole life ahead of him."
