3 DIE IN NEW SPORTS CAR AFTER PAL DRIVES; Subaru ploughs into wall.

THREE workmates died in a sports car bought just four days earlier when it smashed into a wall at an accident blackspot.

IT helpdesk worker Jasvinder Randhawa, 28, had borrowed the 12-year-old Subaru Impreza from his brother.

But he let his friend Jaspal Virdee, 28, drive and she lost control, killing herself, Jasvinder and colleague Anita Heer, 25.

The Subaru flipped and crashed through a wall, ending up on the lawn of a house in Wombourne, near Wolverhampton, Staffs.

All three, who worked for steel firm Carillion, died instantly.

At the scene of the crash yesterday there were 20ft skid marks stretching across a grass verge and a slip road.

Jasvinder's brother Harvinder, 24, from Wolverhampton, bought the car on Monday. He said: "Jasvinder had left in it 20 minutes before the crash. My family is devastated. He was a great lad who had a good job and his whole life ahead of him."

Residents said the 70mph dual carriageway is an accident blackspot where drivers regularly top 100 mph - and claimed it was the sixth fatal smash in just 18 months.

Graham Pape, 64, said: "The Subaru was flattened. It's such a tragedy." Staffordshire police believe no other vehicles were involved.
