2nd Century Communications Names General Manager in Atlanta.

 for the Atlanta region, to the position of general manager of sales and service. As general manager, Reynolds will be responsible for managing sales and service organizations that provide support activities, including sales, engineering, and technical training, to 2nd Century's customers and select channels in the Atlanta area.

2nd Century's recently-established Atlanta office resides on Glenlake Parkway at Abernathy and Georgia 400, consuming roughly 6,000 square feet for its employees.

Reynolds joined 2nd Century in October 1999 with over 18 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to his position as channel sales manager, Reynolds served as account manager for Intermedia Intermedia - A hypertext system developed by a research group at IRIS (Brown University).  Communications. While there, Reynolds consistently surpassed revenue requirements by selling integrated communications solutions including data, voice and Internet services to the Atlanta territory. He also managed monthly revenue costs and objectives, developed long-term account relationships and annual business plans for revenue attainment.

Prior to Intermedia, Reynolds was a national sales manager for AT&T Tridom from 1995 to 1997. In this capacity, he was responsible for the development and execution of sales strategies for satellite and terrestrial data networks and the management of national key accounts. Reynolds helped achieve and surpass 1996 sales revenue in excess of $13 million and was recognized as a top rated sales manager, attaining 205 percent of sales objectives.

From 1986 to 1992, Reynolds served as national account manager for Bell South in the Atlanta region. There he oversaw o·ver·saw

 sales strategies for their national accounts and provided direction for the development of target accounts in the financial and information markets. Consistently ranked in the top five percent for sales achievement, Reynolds helped to design and implement voice and data networks for Bell South.
