2nd Annual eToys Video Awards Arrive During Height of Oscar Season; Unique National Recognition for Family & Children's Videos.

eToys Inc. (Nasdaq: ETYS), the leading Internet retailer of children's products, today launched its 2nd Annual eToys Video Awards, the only awards program to exclusively recognize family and children's videos.

Balloting is open to the public beginning today and running through March 21 via the video store at eToys.com. Winners will be announced March 25, 2000.

Coinciding with Oscar season, the eToys Video Awards cover such categories as: Best Family Movie Night Feature, Best Kid-Friendly Short Subject Video, Series of the Year, Best Dream Playdate, Best Villain and Best Catchphrase. Nominees were selected by a team of eToys children's video experts.

Among movies nominated this year are: "The Iron Giant," "The Prince of Egypt," "Blue's Clues: Blue's Big Pajama Party," "Notes Alive! Dr. Seuss's My Many Colored Days" and "The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland."

"Parents are rightfully discerning when it comes to quality family entertainment," said Jodi Barett, divisional merchandise manager, multimedia department, eToys. "The eToys Video Awards provides a forum to recognize the best quality in family and children's videos."

Visitors to eToys Video Awards page can also enter to win a 4-day, 4-night family getaway to the Sundance Ski Resort located in Sundance, Utah -- provided by Artisan Entertainment. The winner will be announced the same day as the eToys Video Award winners.
