2nd Annual The Security Summit to Put Spotlight on Regional Security Issues; Jules Kroll to Give Keynote Address.

SAN DIEGO -- It is estimated that the global security market will grow from its current total of $120 billion in annual revenues to $180 billion by the year 2008. In 2005, federal spending on homeland security alone is expected to approach $50 billion. On June 29 and 30, 2005, corporate, government and academic leaders will gather at the 2nd Annual The Security Summit(SM) to focus on the emergence of San Diego as one of the leading centers of innovation for security in the U.S. The conference will highlight the region's breadth of security products and services and will promote the development of a comprehensive regional security strategy. This conference, which runs a day and a half, will be held at the Bahia Resort Hotel on West Mission Bay Drive in San Diego.

Highlights of the conference will include a keynote address by Jules Kroll, vice chairman of Marsh, Inc. and the acknowledged founder of the modern investigations, intelligence and security industries. The conference will also include several panel discussions and breakout sessions covering subjects ranging from port security to cyber security and risk management contingency planning. Many of the panel discussions will follow a double track, with the first panel identifying issues and problems associated with specific areas of security and the second panel providing insights into various technologies and approaches that can be brought to bear on those particular security challenges.

The Security Summit is produced by The Security Network, a non-profit organization created to bring together key constituents for the purpose of launching San Diego as the premier center in the U.S. for the development of dual usage security technologies and the development and implementation of effective regional security.
