Winter tourism

TOURISM chiefs have launched a new campaign to attract more visitors to Northumberland in the winter months. Under the slogan Lights, Camera, Action, the latest drive is designed to further raise the profile of England's most northerly county as a tourist haven regionally and nationally - as winter as well as peak summer magnets for visitors.

OWNERS of lap dancing clubs across Britain have joined forces against a North MP's attempts to make it tougher to get licences. Next week lap dancers will hand in a petition to Prime Minister Gordon Brown urging him not to reclassify Verb 1. reclassify - classify anew, change the previous classification; "The zoologists had to reclassify the mollusks after they found new species"

'Ghostbuster s' at holiday park

A NORTHUMBERLAND holiday park is calling in the 'ghostbusters' after spooky goings-on. Staff at Haggerston Castle Haggerston Castle [1]is a hamlet located in the county of Northumberland. Today, it is best known as a caravan park owned by Haven & British Holidays. Historically, it was a baronetcy in the civil parish of Ancroft, then located in County Durham.  Holiday Park near Berwick tell of regular sightings of a ghostly young girl in Victorian clothes.
