In time for the back-to-school buying period, 2d Interactive (two dee), the makers of the PosterCruiser, the new standard in interactive multimedia kiosks, has just introduced a new level of interactivity that puts pop culture at Generation-X's fingertips "Fingertips" is a 1963 number-one hit single recorded live by "Little" Stevie Wonder for Motown's Tamla label. The 32 megs of RAM, Power PC processor and network connection make the PosterCruiser a one-of-a kind multimedia shopping experience. The brand images featured on the kiosk are available for purchase as 2ft x 3ft posters which are neatly wrapped in the lower portion of the PosterCruiser.

The updated PosterCruiser invites users to explore three key areas: "Let's Interact," "Show Me Posters" and "What the #@$? is This Thing." "Let's Interact" allows the user to interact directly with 2d and thereby the kiosk's advertisers. "Show Me The Posters" takes the user into the 2d gallery of posters which range from extreme sports extreme sports

to hot brand images. When "What the #@$?" is touched the kiosk blurts out "What the `exclamation point', `question mark', `number sign' is this thing?" and a humorous description of 2d, the PosterCruiser and its multimedia features pop up on the screen.

The Massachusetts Interactive Media Council recently awarded the 2d PosterCruiser first place in the Catalog/Product category. The updated PosterCruiser takes consumers to new levels of interactivity and showcases more than 70 of today's hottest ads and pop art images from Surfer Magazine, BMW, Vans and Calvin Klein to name a few. Users can see a collection of images in galleries which appeal to their taste. Pre-determined collections include categories of images from fashion, sports, movies and humor humor, according to ancient theory, any of four bodily fluids that determined man's health and temperament. Hippocrates postulated that an imbalance among the humors (blood, phlegm, black bile, and yellow bile) resulted in pain and disease, and that good health was  to shots of sexy men and women. Users can even create their own collections through a newly added feature.

Interactive productions which electronically showcase the collections are developed in house by 2d designers. To supplement the interactive experience for the user, the kiosk also features MicroTouch technology and a wide array of 15 or 30 second clips from sounds of Alanis Morrisette to video highlights from the summer hit "Men in Black." 2d has even added a special behind-the-scenes feature which lets the user read an image profile on their selection.

2d has also added a special voting feature which encourages the user to let 2d know exactly how they feel about an image -- namely whether its "Cool or Crap." Once a user has made a selection and the image is enlarged on the screen, "Cool or Crap" icons pop next to the image. With the touch a finger, the user tells 2d how he or she feels and 2d tracks the information and forwards it back to the advertisers.

"We've added the `"Cool or Crap"' feature as the top layer of interaction between 2d and people who visit the PosterCruiser," explained Greg Baldwin Greg Baldwin (born September 13, 1960 in Grants, New Mexico) is an American actor. Raised in Spring, Texas, he currently resides in the San Fernando Valley with Melissa Baldwin, his wife of twenty-three years and their two children, Sydney and Cooper.  chief imagination officer of 2d Interactive. The PosterCruiser network is an example of an extranet Baldwin explains. Because all PosterCruisers are networked and use touch technology, 2d is able to monitor which images are touched, and how often, at the exact retail location. "When an advertiser ad·ver·tise

Using this interactive capability, 2d recently developed a successful survey with InStyle Magazine which asked users, "Who would you want to see on the cover of the next InStyle?" Over 7,000 responses were collected in a three month period to reveal that Drew Barrymore was the top pick.
