2AB, provider of Trusted Solutions for Distributed Business, announced today the general availability of orb2(TM) for Java version 2.3. orb2 offers an integration platform for developing and managing distributed applications that are secure, flexible and interoperable. 2AB has enhanced this implementation to provide support for CORBA 2.6 compliant features. This release adds support for Common Secure Interoperability (CSIv2), the industry standard for secure communications between J2EE and CORBA services. orb2's CSIv2 implementation supports secure transport, authentication, delegation, authorization and access control. New in this release is the eXplorer(TM) Console, a graphical enterprise management tool for monitoring, administering and managing CORBA services. eXplorer is extensible to allow service management of all CORBA-compliant servers in your environment. Also bundled with this release are two location services - the orb2 Trader Service and an OMG Naming Service.
