Geared to the theme, "Spirit of Cooperation," the event explores a wide variety of coatings in areas serving the paper, graphic arts graphic arts: see aquatint; drawing; drypoint; engraving; etching; illustration; linoleum block printing; lithography; mezzotint; niello; pastel; poster; silk-screen printing; silhouette; silverpoint; sketch; stencil; woodcut and wood engraving. , wood, aircraft, and electronic industries. The WCS will bring together professionals representing the wide spectrum of the industry--and will offer a rich interplay of ideas and solutions to help attendees prosper in today's diverse world of coatings.

The program will include one day of short courses, followed by a 2-1/2 day symposium featuring 30-minute paper presentations. These presentations will be offered in separate, themed tracks to include Manufacturing/Operations, Formulation, and Management. In addition, suppliers will be invited to showcase their products and services related to these areas through tabletop exhibits.

The Organizing Task Force has issued a Call for Papers seeking presentations on the following and related topics:

Management Track

* Economic Trends

* Environmental Regulations (EMACT EMACT Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theaters )

* Effective Techniques for Training

Formulation Track

* Coatings for Paper, Wood, Graphic Arts, Aircraft, Electronics, Plastics

* Future Directions for Research

Production/Operations/Manufacturing Track

* MON/MCM Implementation

* Emission Estimation

* HAZMAT

Those interested should provide a 150-200 word abstract by March 4, 2005, along with contact information. Include author's name Noun 1. author's name - the name that appears on the by-line to identify the author of a work

After abstracts are reviewed and the presentation is approved, authors will be required to submit a paper or a copy of handouts for distribution to registered attendees. Papers, although not required, are encouraged. Please submit all materials electronically, with an accompanying hard copy.
