26 ordinances promulgated during Musharraf regime presented in NA.

ISLAMABAD, October 14, 2009 (Balochistan Times): Government had presented 26 out of 36 ordinances in the National Assembly in the light of Supreme Court verdict which were promulgated during Musharraf regime. Opposition held the ordinances had been presented in violation of article 89 of the constitution while government was of the view no violation of article 89 had been committed. Ordinances were tabled by Minister for parliamentary affairs Babar Awan. The ordinances included national commission for human development amendment bill-2007, penal code ordinance-2007, Pakistan institute for economic development ordiance-2007, national defence university ordinance-2007, police order amendment ordinance-2007, Institute for space technology ordinance-2007, anti money laundering ordinance-2007, federal public service commission amendment ordinance-2007,the patents amendment second ordinance-2007, national data base registration authority amendment -2 ordinance -2007, intellectual property organization of Pakistan ordinance-2007, industrial development bank of Pakistan reorganization ordinance- 2007, Pakistan engineering council second amendment ordinance-2007, competition ordinance-2007, national disaster management ordinance-2007, trade development authority of Pakistan ordinance-2007, West Pakistan regulation and control of loudspeaker sound amplifier amendment ordinance-2007, Pakistan penal code 3rd amendment ordinance -2007, price control, profiteering and hoarding amendment ordinance-2007 and trade organization amendment ordinance-2007. The ordinance which is passed by both the houses of the parliament will take the shape of law and those rejected will be done away with, he announced.
