At Concerts

* Talk to the audience about the importance of music education.

* Thank your own music teachers.

* When appropriate, provide an opportunity for a teacher or administrator to talk about music education.

* Post flyers or posters talking about music education.

* Start a newsletter for parents and students.

Why Support Music Education

Every student in the nation should have an education in the arts, including a comprehensive, balanced, sequential, in-school program of instruction in music taught by qualified music teachers that meets national, state, and local standards.

Studying music helps students to be successful in society, in school, and in life.
