, a 30-year UPS employee, was recently recognized by the company for 25 years of accident-free driving.

Alford works out of the United Parcel Service United Parcel Service, Inc.  and has been making deliveries in Lake Los Angeles and Hi Vista for 16 years.

``It was a goal of mine to reach the 25-year accomplishment before I retire,'' said Alford, who is scheduled to retire this year. ``It also took a little bit of good fortune to make it 25 years without an accident. The most important thing is to stay focused and not take safety for granted.''

Alford credited the UPS training program and other drivers who helped him when he was a new driver.

Company officials said drivers live by a code called the Five Seeing Habits: (1) Aim high in steering The process whereby builders, brokers, and rental property managers induce purchasers or lessees of real property to buy land or rent premises in neighborhoods composed of persons of the same race. , (2) look well ahead on the roadway and get the big picture by surveying the road and determining potential road hazards, (3) keep your eyes moving and be aware of other drivers, (4) leave yourself an escape and pace yourself to avoid unnecessary stops and starts, and (5) make sure other drivers see you.

UPS manager Rob Roxbury presented the award to Alford for 25 years of safe driving.

Alford lives in Lake Los Angeles with his wife, Betty Jo. They have a son, a daughter and two grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. Sometimes these may claim bequests given in a will to children, though in general they can make no such claim. 6 Co. 16. .

When he is not working for UPS, Alford is the pastor of a church in Lake Los Angeles.
