It will be the biggest wave of industrial action to hit the postal service since 2007. Workers in Edinburgh, Northampton, Birmingham, Coventry, London and Essex will stage a 24-hour walkout from today, with staff in Dalkeith, Peterborough, and Bristol following suit tomorrow. The strike is then due to spread to Ipswich and Suffolk on Monday before expanding to other parts of the UK.
