"With so many health issues in our community, we feel it is our responsibility to provide a balanced meal. We will include an educational element to the food baskets as well," said John Olvera, chair of the board for Navidad en el Barrio. "We are proud to be working with the Coors Brewing Company and our network of agencies to achieve our goals for this year."

Coors will donate $1 to Navidad en el Barrio for each 20-pack case sold in participating retailers from Nov. 16 through Dec. 31. Coors donated $45,000 to the organization earlier this year.

Coors and its distributors will provide company volunteers to sort the food, distribution trucks and drivers for delivery. Participating distributors include: Crest Beverage of San Diego and LA-area distributors Mission Beverage, Classic Distributing, Harbor Distributing, Premium Distributing, Allied Distributing, Basso Distributing and Central Coast Distributing.

"The partnership with Navidad en el Barrio has become a holiday tradition for Coors," said Pablo Guzman, vice president of U.S. Hispanic sales for Coors. "This program has a direct and positive impact on the Hispanic community in southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  and Coors is proud to be a part of it."
