The concert line-up includes Smaller and The Maximum Who, and is headlined by The Real People. Smaller are back on form with a new single coming out on Honey Records, and The Real People are riding high on a series of high-profile support and writing slots. One half of the Real People - Tony Griffiths - is also looking forward to the birth of his first baby in August. He says: ``It's busy to say the least. We've just done a support slot with Simple Minds which was brilliant. We got on really well with Jim Kerr Kerr , Walter 1913-1996. The Liverpool-based band have a long track record of collaborating with famous friends - Tony wrote a song that was a hit for Cher, and they have a well-documented early relationship with Oasis. Steve Craddock, of Ocean Colour Scene, may also be doing a few songs tonight. As if that wasn't enough, they have also contributed six tracks to the forthcoming Bbmak album - which puts them in pretty good company, as Robbie Williams has also written for them. Pop star associations aside, they are also concentrating one what they are good at: Writing Real People songs. They have a new album in progress, and hope to realease a single later this year. Tony says: ``We are really looking forward to tonight, for a lot of reasons. We will be playing a load of older songs from the first album. For ages we've avoided doing them, just because we were bored with them really, but recently we've realised that there is a lot to be said for them - and they sit alongside the new material really well. ``And the fact that we're playing with people we've known and respected for years like Smaller and The Maximum Who makes the night even better - and it should be a hell of a party afterwards af·ter·ward also af·ter·wards adv.
