23 years of Norris Green.A LIVERPOOL man is staging an all-day exhibition of Norris Green History Norris Green is a large housing estate and council ward in Liverpool, England comprising some 1,500 dwellings, it is locally known as "Noggsy". It was built in the 1920s on land donated to the city by Lord Derby, who was at the time resident at nearby Knowsley through the years. Local resident Vinnie Timmins, 33, was awarded a pounds 1,200 community grant by the Scarman Trust charity to research and set up the exhibition, which shows the area from 1920 until the present. Mr Timmins, an amateur photographer Amateur Photographer is the title of a British photography magazine, published weekly by IPC Media, a Time Warner subsidiary. The magazine provides articles on equipment reviews, photographic technique, and profiles of professional photographers. and historian, will use 200 photos to produce a CD ROM and accompanying booklet. The exhibition will be at the Ellergreen Centre, Norris Green,on July 11 at 10 am until5pm. More photos are being sought for the show. Call 0151-2561057. |
