23 companies win Unisys Supplier Excellence Awards for 1994.


BLUE BELL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 22, 1994--Unisys Corp. Tuesday Tuesday: see week.  announced that it has selected 23 worldwide suppliers to receive its Supplier Excellence Awards for 1994.

 at the presentation ceremony held at the Philadelphia Marriott West. Lutz emphasized the importance of quality, cost, delivery and service. He indicated that five suppliers were finalists for the Supplier of the Year Award.

Kemet Electronics Corp., Thin Film Technology Corp., Pen National Inc., Formation Inc. and 3M Corp. each achieved acceptance ratings in excess of 99.5%. The highlight of the evening was Lutz's presentation of the 1994 Supplier of the Year Award to the 3M Corp. who achieved the highest possible ratings in all categories. Don Winkelpleck and Steve McNabb accepted the distinguished award on behalf of the 3M Corp.

According to James Stahley, vice president, Unisys Corporate Quality, "In today's highly competitive world, it is impossible for Unisys to be successful without the dedicated efforts of our suppliers. It is with a great deal of pride that we recognize these companies for their commitment to our common goals."
