Latest to Sign Up For Integrated Business-to-Business Capabilities

BuildNet, Inc., a leading provider of management software and e-commerce services to homebuilders, dealers and suppliers in the residential construction industry, today announced that it has entered into contracts with 23 additional builders across the United States to provide business-to-business electronic commerce services.

The most recent contracts were signed with builders in Georgia, Texas, Michigan and North Carolina. To date, 50 builders have signed agreements with BuildNet, representing nearly 20,000 housing starts annually.

Under the agreements, BuildNet will provide the builders with business server connectivity and e-commerce solutions, including the capability to request prices and quotes, issue purchase orders and process invoices. BuildNet plans to link the builders' back-office or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to the ERP systems of their suppliers. BuildNet's Internet-based e-commerce system is currently being introduced in select cities throughout the United States.
