22,000 s/f deal expands NYU footprint in SL Green portfolio.


SL Green Realty Corp. announced that it has completed a 16-year lease agreement for 22,694 s/f at 673 First Avenue in New York City New York City: see New York, city.

NYU Medical Center is one of the nation's premier centers of excellence in health care, scientific research, and medical education.

The new lease agreement for part of the fourth floor at 673 First Avenue constitutes an important expansion of the medical school's relationship with SL Green, increasing its total commitment within the SL Green portfolio to 187,000 s/f.

NYU Medical Center leases approximately 164,000 s/f at One Park Avenue in addition to the new lease at 673 First Avenue.

Commenting on the agreement, Steven Durels, executive vice president and director of leasing for SL Green, said, "The fact that we have been able to meet the long-term expansion needs of this valued tenant within our portfolio is a perfect example of our commitment to service and the quality of relationship we take pride in building with our tenants. We are very happy to have been able to facilitate NYU Medical Center's growth at 673 First Avenue."

Located on the northwest corner of 38th Street and First Avenue, the 12-story building contains 425,000 of rentable square feet. In addition to NYU Medical Center, other prestigious building tenants include the US Committee for UNICEF UNICEF (y`nĭsĕf'), the United Nations Children's Fund, an affiliated agency of the United Nations. , the Consulate General consulate general
