21st and The California National Guard Combine Forces to Bring Holiday Cheer to Local Families; ``Operation Christmas for Our Troops'' Delivers Presents to Troops Serving Overseas and to Their Family Members Here at Home.

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. -- The holidays got a little brighter today for hundreds of California's military families whose loved ones are currently serving overseas. To help bring holiday cheer to these families, 21st Century Insurance donated 750 toys to "Operation Christmas for Our Troops II." In its second year, the Operation campaign collects toys, CDs and DVDs for California military members currently serving overseas, and for the family members missing them at home during this holiday season.

Sponsored by Yellow Ribbon America, the California State Legislature and the National Guard Association of California "Operation Christmas for Our Troops II" has collected more than 40,000 toys this holiday season, making it the largest toy donation drive for America's troops in the country. The Operation campaign will distribute all donations throughout California to the children of soldiers currently serving overseas, as well as sending DVDs, video games and CDs directly to the troops far from home.

Toys are also being collected at all 120 State Legislative Offices located at the Capitol and in district offices across the state.
