2009 Calendar Listing: Carneros Wine Alliance Hosts 4th Annual Carneros Heritage Fest - May 30, 2009.CARNEROS, Calif. -- Mark your calendars for the 4(th) Annual Carneros Heritage Fest: Wines, Vines, Woolies and Wetlands - the region's signature celebration on May 30, 2009. Hosted by the Carneros Wine Alliance, the Fest is one of the nation's only family-friendly wine and food festivals. Proceeds of the Fest benefit the Carneros Land Stewardship Foundation dedicated to the conservation and preservation of habitat and wetlands in the San Pablo Bay San Pablo Bay: see San Francisco Bay. adjacent to the Carneros region. Highlights of the 4th Annual Carneros Heritage Fest include (click here for photos): * Carneros winemakers offering pairings of their premium and ultra-premium Pinot Noir noir adj. 1. Of or relating to the film noir genre. 2. Of or relating to a genre of crime literature featuring tough, cynical characters and bleak settings. 3. Suggestive of danger or violence. , Chardonnay, Syrah, cool climate Merlot and sparkling wines * Lamb Bar-B-Que and Picnic in the Pasture pasture, land used for grazing livestock. Land unsuited for cultivation, e.g., hilly or stony land, may be used as pasture. Tilled land and meadow may be pastured after the crops are removed. .
