2008 youngARTS awards registration.


Registration has opened for the 2008 youngARTS program, the core program of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts The National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (known by the acronym NFAA honors the most talented high school seniors in the performing, visual and literary arts from the United States through the youngARTS program.(formerly known as the acronym ARTS).  (NFAA NFAA National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts

) that identifies and rewards exceptional student artists from across the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. . High school seniors in the 2007-2008 school year or graduates who will be 17 or 18 years old on December December: see month.  1, 2007, are encouraged to apply for individual cash awards of up to $10,000 and the chance to be named a Presidential Scholar in the Arts, earning national recognition and opportunities for additional scholarships.

The early registration deadline is June June: see month.  1, 2007, and the final registration deadline is October 1, 2007. All audition/portfolio materials must be received in the youngARTS offices by November 5, 2007. Individuals who register online at www.youngARTS.org before the June 1 deadline will receive a 30 percent fee discount. In addition, student information submitted by the early deadline will be sent, with permission, to a broad network of colleges, universities and conservatories affiliated with NFAA.

Each year, NFAA invites up to 150 youngARTS applicants to participate in youngARTS Week in Miami, which consists of performances, master classes, workshops, readings, exhibits and enrichment enrichment Food industry The addition of vitamins or minerals to a food–eg, wheat, which may have been lost during processing.
