2008 PSA Chapters showcase.[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] The 2008 PSA (Professional Services Automation) An information system designed to organize, track and manage all opportunities, work, resources, costs, revenues and invoices to improve the productivity and efficiency of the workforce. Chapters Showcase premiered in September at the Annual Conference of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) in Portland, Oregon with nine chapters participating. Each Chapter sent ten electronic images from ten different members to the host, Mid-Atlantic Chapter, for judging and inclusion in the Showcase. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] Bob Leonard, FPSA FPSA Free Prostate-Specific Antigen FPSA Florida Public Service Association FPSA Florida Pool and Spa Association , served as the Chairman of the Showcase. The Mid-Atlantic Chapter distributed the entry packets, collected the images, prepared them for the judges, and conducted the judging. The three highly qualified judges were: Tom Hady, APSA APSA American Political Science Association APSA Airline Pilots' Security Alliance APSA American Pediatric Surgical Association APSA Asia and Pacific Seed Association APSA Asian Pacific Student Association APSA Australian Peak Shippers Association , PPSA PPSA Personal Property Security Act (Canada) PPSA Pulp and Paper Safety Association PPSA Power Plant Siting Act PPSA Philippine Practical Shooting Association PPSA Planned Parenthood of Southern Arizona ; MyPhuong Nguyen; and Jessyca Stansbury-McCargo. The host Chapter could not enter into the Showcase competition, but they did submit ten excellent images to be included in the show. Maria Drumm of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter prepared this year's wonderful Showcase CD. With a total of 122 points, the Wisconsin Chapter was the highest scoring Chapter in the Showcase. Following closely in second place was the Central Florida
Central Florida is the central region of the United States state of Florida, on the East Coast. Chapter with 121 points and in third place with 118 points was the Inland Empire Chapter. The photographer with the highest scoring image from each Chapter was presented a Best of Chapter ribbon. These photographers were: Geri Laehn from the Wisconsin Chapter, Erik Rosengren, PPSA, from Central Florida, Tony Roche of the Inland Empire Chapter, Bob Benson from the Chicago Chapter, William Friedman, PPSA, from the Everglades Chapter, Jim Cunningham of the Gold Rush Chapter, Marilyn Campbell, APSA, from the Gem State Chapter, and Roland Smith, APSA, of the Cascade Chapter. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] The top scoring entries were: Erik Rosengren's image Come Fly with Me, which was voted Best of the Showcase; Jim Cunningham's El Capitan Aglow was first runner-up; Geri Laehn's picture Bi Polar was second runner-up; and Michael Rosenbaum's image Snowy's Catch was third runner-up. The Inland Empire Chapter will serve as the host chapter for the next Showcase, which will first be shown in September of 2009 at the PSA Annual Conference in West Yellowstone, Montana West Yellowstone is a town in Gallatin County, Montana, adjacent to Yellowstone National Park. The population was 1,177 at the 2000 census. The town is served by Yellowstone Airport. Geography West Yellowstone is located at (44. .
