2007 Dottie Award Winners Announced.SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Web sites for the Food Bank for El Dorado El Dorado, legendary country of South America El Dorado (ĕl`dərä`dō, –rā`–) [Span.,=the gilded man], legendary country of the Golden Man sought by adventurers in South America. County and All-Outdoors Whitewater Rafting were the top winners at the 10th annual Dottie Awards Thursday night. The Dottie Awards honor outstanding Northern California Northern California, sometimes referred to as NorCal, is the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. The region contains the San Francisco Bay Area, the state capital, Sacramento; as well as the substantial natural beauty of the redwood forests, the northern web sites. The event, held at the Towe Auto Museum in Sacramento and hosted by Good Day Sacramento's Mark S. Allen, pitted dozens of websites against each other for awards in a variety of categories. The Food Bank of El Dorado County won the "Top Dot" based on scores from the Dottie judges and All-Outdoors California Whitewater Rafting was the "People's Choice" based on voting by the public. Over the course of the evening, the best Web sites in Northern California were honored for their design, content, resources and interactivity in each of the Dottie Awards' 14 categories.
