The Charlotte Biotechnology Conference is designed to be the annual flagship event highlighting biotechnology research, manufacturing, investment and business development opportunities in the region. The size and scope of the conference has grown each year due to the rapid expansion of biotechnology-based research at the University of North Carolina Charlotte and the development of the 350-acre North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis. The conference will feature over 40 speakers consisting of the region's top political, business, academic, and research professionals.

"There is so much activity happening within Charlotte's biotechnology community that we felt it was critical to organize a single event that would feature not only the world-class research being conducted at the UNC Charlotte and the NC Research Campus, but to also present a forum by which local service providers, manufacturers, financiers and students can network and seize new professional opportunities," said Dr. Robert Wilhelm, Executive Director of the Charlotte Research Institute.

The early bird registration fee of $70 ends September 12, 2007. After September 12th, the online registration fee will be $100 and $120 at the door. Over 300 attendees are expected during one-day event one-day event
