The following CD's have been created from the 2006 Plastics Processing Capital Spending Results.

A Overall brochure that details the survey results.

A CD that contains a complete set of demographic reports. The spending intentions of 39 different product categories are broken down by industry segment, SIC, plant size and respondent's geographic location. This information will pinpoint which industries are planning to spend money in 2006 by product category.

Methodology

Questionnaires were mailed to a universe of 5,000 Plastics Technology plants with manufacturing SICs.

We mailed the surveys to upper echelon readers--presidents; executive vice presidents; general managers; vice presidents of manufacturing and/or operations; plant, works or factory managers and superintendents; directors of production engineering; and managers of manufacturing--people with lateral lateral /lat·er·al/ (-il)

 interests and access to the budgetary information and plans needed to complete our questionnaire. We mailed one questionnaire per plant using a computer program to select the highest title reached from a alphabetical search of each plan galley galley, long, narrow vessel widely used in ancient and medieval times, propelled principally by oars but also fitted with sails. We conducted the survey from September 1, 2005 to October 1, 2005. As of the closing date, 767 surveys were returned for a 15.3% response rate. A total of 736 surveys were determined usable USable is a special idea contest to transfer US American ideas into practice in Germany. USable is initiated by the German Körber-Stiftung (foundation Körber). It is doted with 150,000 Euro and awarded every two years. . Unless otherwise indicated, all figures are percentages.
