Founded at the height of the Florida land boom, Coral Gables is a noted planned city, with tree-lined boulevards and Mediterranean-style buildings. , Fla.

To reflect the evolving role of marketing in the telecom industry, the NTCA Marketing Committee, which oversees the awards, instituted a number of changes to the program during the past two years.

This year marked the first-ever TeleChoice EXPO, featuring a peer-judging format that enabled conference attendees to examine entries and vote for the winners. The peer-judging process utilizes the combined industry knowledge and understanding of the marketplace possessed by NTCA PR and marketing professionals. The EXPO provided a forum that encouraged the exchange of ideas, and elevated visibility for the PR and marketing endeavors of NTCA members.

The awards consist of four main categories: annual reports, complete marketing campaign, customer newsletters and single-target print publications. Additionally, there are two production categories. "In-house In-house

Entries were judged on design, writing, creativity, cost effectiveness and other elements specific to each category; for instance, effectiveness of presentation of financial information in the annual reports category.

The Call for Entries for the 2007 NTCA TeleChoice Awards competition will be mailed to NTCA members in December December: see month.  2006.
