2006 CAMME Awards honors industry excellence.The 14th annual Chicagoland Apartment Marketing and Management Excellence (CAMME) Awards, sponsored by the Chicagoland Apartment Association (CAA Caa See CCC. ), attracted more than 1,100 apartment industry professionals to the gala awards ceremony Oct. 6 at the Chicago Hilton and Towers. The 2006 CAMME Awards--the "Academy Awards" of Chicagoland's apartment industry--paid homage homage: see feudalism. to nearly every aspect of the business, from downtown high-rise design to the maintenance staff of suburban rental communities. Among the winners: * Grand Plaza won Best High-Rise Apartment Building in Chicago. The category judges high-rises with 10 floors or more built after Jan. 1, 1985. Grand Plaza also won CAMME Awards for Best Floor Plan for a studio apartment and for Best Leasing Center. * Regents Park won Best High-Rise Apartments and Best Landscaping for High-Rise Apartments. * Belden Stratford won Best Vintage Apartments built before 1950. * Versailles on the Lake won Best Garden Style/Mid-Rise Apartments (nine floors or less, built before Jan. 1, 1985) and Outstanding Maintenance Team for garden style/mid-rise apartment buildings. * York York, former name of Toronto, Canada York, Ont.: see Toronto, Ont., Canada. York, city, England York, city (1991 pop. 123,126) and district, North Yorkshire, N England, at the confluence of the Ouse and Foss rivers. Brook Apartments tied with Versailles on the Lake for Best Garden Style/Mid-Rise Apartments. * Waterbury Apartments won Best Garden Style/Mid-Rise Apartments. * 400 North LaSalle won Best Model Apartments. * Michelle Calabrese calabrese Brassica oleracea var. italica (Italian broccoli). of Clover clover, any plant of the genus Trifolium, leguminous hay and forage plants of the family Leguminosae (pulse family). Most of the species are native to north temperate or subtropical regions, and all the American cultivated forms have been introduced from Ridge East Apartments won the CAMME Award for leasing consultant for apartment buildings with 400 or fewer units. * Jill Schreiber of Lincoln Meadows Apartment Homes won for best leasing consultant in apartment buildings with 400 or more units. * Mary Lynn Yarter of AMLI AMLI Association of Medical Laboratory Immunologists at St. Charles won for best onsite property manager for apartment buildings with 500 or fewer units. * Heidi Hansen of The New Colonies Apartment Homes and Lolita Smith of Prairie prairie Level or rolling grassland, especially that found in central North America. Decreasing amounts of rainfall, from 40 in. (100 cm) at the forested eastern edge to less than 12 in.
