2005 WORLD SERIES FACILITIES FACTS: MINUTE MAID PARK

Baseball fans in Houston will fill Minute Maid Park to capacity each night as the Houston Astros pursue the franchise's first World Series championship.

To prepare for the World Series, ARAMARK Facility Services employees expect to:

--Clean approximately 500 feet of padded wall in place to protect against player injury.

--Clean, sweep, and power wash the 1.2 million square-foot facility, including 40,900 seats and 65 suites.

During each World Series game, ARAMARK's 172 facilities employees expect to:

--Use blowers to clean up over 600 pounds of peanut shells from more than 1,500 pounds of peanuts.

--Haul away 7,500 pounds of trash from the park.

--Clean and shine 65 luxury suites.

--Clean the 40,900 seats in the stands.

--Use up 3,000 plastic trash bags to clean stadium.

While doing this, each employee will walk an average of 2 miles -- or more than 344 miles total per game!
