2005 Tulsa Pinnacle Awards: Call for Nominations.TULSA, Okla. -- Nominations are being sought for the 2005 Pinnacle pinnacle (pĭn`ĭkəl), minor architectural motif of vertical tapering shape, usually crowning a pier, buttress, or gable. Although sometimes it appears in Renaissance design, as in the Certosa di Pavia, it is almost exclusively a medieval Awards to honor Tulsa's outstanding women. Sponsored by the Tulsa Mayor's Commission on the Status of Women Noun 1. Commission on the Status of Women - the commission of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations that is concerned with the status of women in different societies and the Tulsa Women's Foundation, this annual celebration acknowledges women who have made important contributions to the Tulsa community. The awards ceremony will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2005 during Women's History Month Women's History Month is an annual declared month in the United States that highlights contributions of women to events in history. March is declared Women's History Month. The annual event traces its beginnings to the first International Women's Day in 1911. . Nominations for deserving de·serv·ing adj.
