During the four-day conference, key industry initiatives were discussed, and new products and services were previewed such as Open Solutions' new Interaction Management Center (IMC (Internet Mail Consortium, Santa Cruz, CA, www.imc.org) An industry trade association founded in 1996 by Paul Hoffman and Dave Crocker that promotes Internet e-mail standards and features. ). The latest technology updates and business trends in the financial arena, client best practices, focus groups, product demonstrations and educational breakout sessions on Open Solutions' full product line were also part of the company's agenda. Client-specific sessions offered interactive dialog with Open Solutions' management, development and service teams to openly discuss ideas and develop technology-based strategies for growth and efficiency.

Prior to the opening day of the conference, client bank and credit union CEOs and presidents participated in a two-day Senior Executive Forum. This peer-to-peer forum provided high-level briefings and interactive sessions and was designed to promote greater communication while generating open feedback and discussion on how Open Solutions can better meet the needs of its clients.

Senior Vice President Retail Banking, Community Bank, Staunton, Va. and outgoing Open Solutions Client Association Executive Committee Chairman, Benny Werner, said, "The input we are able to provide Open Solutions during this annual meeting is invaluable. There is no better forum in which we can accomplish this. We also review new technology specifications to help determine what features and functionality are most important to be included. Every year, I leave the conference with a sense that as a group we have assisted in providing the technical specifications that will help every financial institution be better equipped in this competitive marketplace."
