2005 Arthur J. Dixon Award.The AICPA AICPA See American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Tax Division's Tax Executive Committee (TEC) voted to bestow the Arthur J. Dixon Arthur J. Dixon (born: December 1, 1919 - died: February 5, 2007) was a former member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta and a real estate agent. Dixon first got involved in politics running in the 1949 Canadian Federal Election and again in a 1951 by-election for the Award for 2005 on Paul Farber, a retired partner at Ernst & Young who later worked at Eisner LLP. In an illustrious career dealing mainly with international taxation, Mr. Farber has served with numerous professional organizations, including the American Bar Association American Bar Association (ABA), voluntary organization of lawyers admitted to the bar of any state. Founded (1878) largely through the efforts of the Connecticut Bar Association, it is devoted to improving the administration of justice, seeking uniformity of law Section of Taxation and the New York State Society of CPAs. He is a former member of the TEC, a former editor of The Tax Adviser's Tax Clinic and served on the magazine's first Editorial Board. The prestigious annual prize was created to honor the memory of a CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000. known for his outstanding service to the tax profession and the Tax Division. It is the highest award given by the accounting profession in the area of taxation. |
