2004 summer programs.

San Francisco was the site of the 19th Annual Dwarf National Games. Athletes gathered at the San Mateo Community College and San Mateo High School July 2-5, 2004. Athletes participated in an equestrian clinic at a local stable, and the DAAA Junior and Open Nationals were held at the same venues during the week-long event. Athletes competed in power lifting, table tennis, and boccia at the Hyatt Hotel. Basketball, badminton, and swimming took place at the Community College. Soccer and track and field events were held at San Mateo High School.

The National Games are held each year in conjunction with the Little People of America Convention, where an estimated 2500 attendees were expected. The 7th Annual DAAA Golf Outing took place on July 7, at a local golf course, as well. DAAA Athletes are also preparing for next year's World Dwarf Games in July, 2005, in Paris, France. Team and staff selection will be made later this summer. The World Dwarf Games are held every four years and are organized by IDAF (International Dwarf Athletic Federation) and the local organizing committee.

Local and regional competitions are also being organized within the 14 districts the Little People of America organization has established throughout the United States.
