2004 Winners Announced for Excellence in Workflow Global Awards.

The Workflow Management Coalition (body) Workflow Management Coalition - (WfMc) A non-profit, international organisation of workflow vendors, users, and analysts committed to establishing standards for workflow terminology, interoperability, and connectivity.  (WfMC) and the Workflow And Reengineering International Association (WARIA WARIA Workflow And Reengineering International Association ) are pleased to announce the winners of the 2004 Global Excellence Awards for innovation and excellence in workflow implementations. These prestigious awards are used to recognize organizations that have demonstrably excelled in implementing innovative solutions to meet strategic business objectives.

"It is important to note the significant role that vendors play in supporting their customers throughout a workflow implementation," said awards judge Martin Ader, industry analyst and author of the Workflow Comparative Study. "Success is based not just on the relationship between an organization's IT and business operations Business operations are those activities involved in the running of a business for the purpose of producing value for the stakeholders. Compare business processes. The outcome of business operations is the harvesting of value from assets , but a strong relationship between customer and vendor that together leads to an innovative and successful implementation."

Particular attention was paid to workflow implementations that show workflow extending beyond the corporate boundaries to support customers, suppliers, and trading partners.
