2004 OREGON STATEWIDE ASSESSMENT.

Byline: The Register-Guard

Oregon students are tested annually in grades three, five, eight and 10. The state has released the results from two tests, the multiple-choice reading and math tests. Later this month, the state will release results of the 10th-grade writing test. The state threw out the results of the 10th-grade math problem-solving test after the problems were deemed too difficult.

Here's how local students fared on the 2003 Statewide Assessment. Scores reflect the combined percentage of students who met, exceeded or conditionally met standards. Percentages weren't available for schools where five or fewer students took the test.
