 as we kick off our 50th anniversary gala in Miami--the perfect backdrop for this monumental event and the 2004 Annual Meeting. Annual Meeting Program

The 2004 Annual Meeting has something for everyone: first-rate general sessions featuring keynote speakers and panels, an innovative telecommunications education program with timely seminars and workshops, and the industry's premier trade show--EXPO '04--designed exclusively for the rural telecommunications sector.

Welcome to Miami

This short introductory session will give an expert overview of the immediate geographic area, as well as information about the city and details about tour options offered throughout the week. Visitor guides from the area will be provided.

Opening General Session Entertainment

The Opening General Session will start with a warm welcome to Miami, courtesy of Ritmo Caliente Del Caribe (Hot Caribbean Rhythm). This hip, Copacabana-style band will play high-energy American and Latin music, as a dance couple shows off the intricate steps of the Mambo, Rumba A popular family of PC-to-host connectivity programs from NetManage, Inc., Cupertino, CA (www.netmanage.com). Acquired in 1999 from Wall Data Inc., the RUMBA software gives desktop PC users access to virtually any host across any network. , Merengue merengue

Opening General Session

Richard Notebaert Richard Notebaert (born 1947 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) has been the CEO of Qwest Communications International, Inc. since 2002. He was CEO of Ameritech before it merged with SBC. His resignation was announced on June 11, 2007, effective upon finding a successor. , chairman and chief executive officer of Qwest Communications

Executive Management Symposium

There will be a track of seminars exclusively for general managers and owners.

Seminars

Attendees will have 12 seminars from which to choose, with a mix of sessions for telco managers, owners and directors. Most of the seminars repeat, so attendees can take advantage of as many as four topics at one low price. Pre-registration is required for seminars.

Workshops

A variety of complimentary workshops will be offered; registration is not required. Look for workshop topics in future Annual Meeting Updates.

Receptions

Attendees are invited to the NTCA Welcome Reception Sunday evening in the lawn area near the beach of the Fontainebleau. Entertainment will be provided by Islanda, a tropical trio performing a variety of reggae, calypso Calypso, in Greek mythology

 and popular island favorites. Attendees also are invited to the EXPO Open House on Tuesday for a light reception and the opportunity to meet with exhibitors.

NTCA EXPO '04

EXPO '04 is the best national manufacturing and service showcase in the industry devoted to small and rural independent telcos. The EXPO provides a unique opportunity to learn about the latest products and services. On Tuesday, NTCA will host a luncheon for managers and their colleagues, and on Tuesday afternoon, attendees are invited to an open house from 4:30-6 p.m. A luncheon will be held Wednesday for managers, directors and key employees, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (See the Schedule-at-a-Glance on pages 48 and 49 for a complete listing of EXPO events.)

NTCA again will be using J. Spargo & Associates as the housing bureau handling all hotel reservations for the Annual Meeting. For your convenience, we encourage you to go online, at http://reg.jspargo.com/ntca/housing/default.asp, starting at noon (EST EST electroshock therapy.
