2004 Beneficial Use Byproduct Summit to Be Held November 8-9.

 Summit will be held November 8-9 at the Westin Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri Kansas City is the largest city in the state of Missouri. It encompasses parts of Jackson, Clay, Cass, and Platte counties and is the anchor city of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, the second largest in Missouri, which includes counties in both Missouri and Kansas. .

The Summit supports discussions, between industry and regulators to increase the understanding of industrial byproducts and regulatory programs, among state regulators to share information and experiences on beneficial use regulations and determination processes, and among industries to share experiences on navigating the regulator process and to assess the potential to utilize each other's byproducts.

Topics for this year's event include: past Summit update, foreign beneficial experience, procurement experience with byproducts, liability and insurance for generators and end-users, risk management tools, case studies of successfully approved byproduct applications, byproduct synergy, Industry/regulator discussion, and networking and problem-solving sessions.

The event, which is in its third year, is sponsored this year by Waste News.
