2004 BE Award Winner Honduras Land Administration Program PATH Joins Bentley Enterprise License Subscription Program.

EXTON, Pa. -- Organization Charged with Developing Integrated, Decentralized Land Administration System Gets Unlimited Access to Entire ELS Software Portfolio for Fixed Annual Fee

Bentley Systems, Incorporated today announced that the Honduras land administration program PATH, charged with developing an integrated and decentralized land administration system, has joined Bentley's Enterprise License Subscription (ELS) program.

The Bentley ELS program grants organizations unlimited access to the ELS program's entire software portfolio for a fixed annual fee. The portfolio covers all the AEC software needs of subscribers, providing building, plant, civil, and geospatial solutions and supporting a managed environment for their AEC IT.

The total coverage at a fixed, discounted price means that organizations can increase their software productivity and reduce their total AEC software costs simultaneously. The unlimited access streamlines AEC software administration while the annual term simplifies budgeting and accounting.

"Because we are only in the first phase of a 12-year effort," explained Igor Zelaya, chief developer for PATH, "keeping our software expenditures under tight control is critical as we continue to develop our land administration system. The ELS will help us do just that as we pursue our goal of creating a national database covering all 18 of Honduras' provinces."

The ELS will give PATH a quick, cost-effective way to enhance the efficiency and extend the managed environment that forms the basis of its system, and which won it a 2004 BE Award of Excellence. These awards, which honor the extraordinary work of Bentley users improving the world's infrastructure, are presented during the annual BE Conference (www.be.org), which this year takes place May 8-12 in Baltimore, Md.

PATH enables its geographically dispersed teams to work together to create cadastral maps using ProjectWise, the collaboration server within the Bentley portfolio, to manage data on infrastructure, topology, and property ownership, as well as information from remote field surveyors. The maps are cross-referenced to legal information and aerial photographs. The managed environment also includes Bentley Publisher, which enables PATH to automatically publish cadastral maps, as well as related property titles, land-use regulations, and other data, to any standard Web browser.

A managed environment allows valuable AEC information to be confidently shared, synchronized, and secured. Fast-track projects can be managed better by ensuring that project teams can work on separate project components in parallel.

As a strategic benefit, the Bentley ELS helps organizations such as PATH become more agile. Project starts can happen faster and teams can reconfigure more quickly for new opportunities.
