2003-04 REPORT CARDS FOR SCHOOLS IN LANE COUNTY AND SURROUNDING AREA.

Byline: The Register-Guard

Annual school ratings were released today by the state Department of Education. Each school's rating is determined by scores on Oregon Statewide Assessment tests (80 percent of overall score), test participation rates, attendance, and the degree of improvement on test scores over time. High schools also are scored on dropout (1) On magnetic media, a bit that has lost its strength due to a surface defect or recording malfunction. If the bit is in an audio or video file, it might be detected by the error correction circuitry and either corrected or not, but if not, it is often not noticed by the human  rates. Schools that did not get a rating either had too few students taking the test, had less than three years' worth of data or experienced a significant change in population through a boundary change or merger. Schools must send school report cards home to parents by the end of March.
