2003 Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees Announced.

MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 2003

The Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation is proud to welcome four new members to the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame. They will be inducted in a gala celebration, sponsored by U.S. Bank, on Thursday, June 12, 2003, at the Midwest Airlines Center The Midwest Airlines Center (formerly Midwest Express Center) is a convention and exhibition center located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The center is part of a greater complex of buildings which includes the U.S.  in Milwaukee.

The Wisconsin Hall of Fame Class of 2003 includes:

-- Frederick "Fuzzy" Thurston, guard with Vince Lombardi's Green

Bay Packers from 1959-1968. Thurston was key in helping the

    Thurston, Thomas and Johnson will attend the induction ceremony to personally accept their honors. Tom Diehl, of Wisconsin Dells, will accept for his former business partner and close friend, Tommy Bartlett, who died in 1998.

    The 2003 Class represents the first in which Wisconsin fans were able to select a Hall of Fame member through balloting at Wisconsin's 120 U.S. Bank locations and via online voting.
