2003 PREVIEW: GIRLS' SOCCER: ROLLO, CANYON READY TO ROLL NEW COACH MET WITH LOADED ROSTER TRYING TO GET HEALTHY.Byline: Lauren Lauren as a surname may refer to:
Lisa Rollo lucked out in her first season as the Canyon High girls' soccer coach. The Cowboys' roster looks more like that of a top-flight club team than that of a high school program. Hart and Saugus also have new coaches - Valencia's Tony Scalercio is the only area coach returning - but neither program has as many skilled players as Canyon. ``This team is really special in that we've got so many premier players,'' Rollo said. ``Instead of having like a couple of players on a club team, I have five of my girls on the same premier team, and others on other teams. It's fun for them because they're all coming from different teams and they get to play together.'' More impact players from the group include senior Kearsten Leggett, who joins Shay in the midfield, and senior Kayce Matsunaga, who anchors the Cowboys' defense at sweeper. Junior Nini Loucks is one of Canyon's best scoring options; she scored the deciding goal in the Cowboys' nonleague game against Orange County powerhouse A fourth-generation language from Cognos that was introduced in the late 1970s for midrange computers. Mater Dei Mater Dei is Latin for "Mother of God", referring to the Virgin Mary. The term has been used to name various institutions, often Catholic, including:

It is the second largest city in the country and the commercial and processing center for a sugarcane, coffee, and cattle region. in a 4-3 victory. Loucks is paired with junior Shannon Omahen up front. Lauren McClelland will take over in goal for standout keeper Keeper may mean:
``She improves every game,'' Rollo said of McClelland. ``She's a hard worker.'' The Cowboys' coaching position has changed four times in the past four years, and last season the duties were split between co-coaches. ``We've had really great coaches even though we've had four different ones,'' Shay said. ``It was fun, in a different way.'' Canyon players welcomed Rollo, a former college player who was the junior varsity junior varsity n. Abbr. I think we can tell her more things. We can open up to her, and tell her when something's wrong.'' The Cowboys, at 3-2-3, already have equaled their loss total from last season, when they fell to Hart in the regular-season final and lost in the Southern Section Div. II semifinals. Canyon has been hampered by the robust flu season
Rollo is excited for everyone finally to come together and confident the team will be ready in time for league play. ``Every time I answer my cell phone it's a player calling to tell me how sick she is,'' Rollo said, but later added, ``It's going to be great to watch once they do finally all get on the field together.'' Canyon will play its first home game Thursday against Highland of Palmdale, and the Cowboys clearly are excited to play at their place, likely at the healthiest they've been yet. Because the football team went deep into the playoffs, the soccer team was unable to use the field for games and had to move its home contests to the other teams' fields. ``Mater Dei and Granada Hills were supposed to be at home,'' Rollo said. ``It will be good to finally play at our place.''
