Life Time Fitness announced today that the 2003 Life Time Fitness Triathlon The Life Time Fitness Triathlon is a triathlon race held annually in Minneapolis MN. An Olympic Distance length course winds its way through the city, drafting is not permitted. , presented by Nokia 5100, will feature a Corporate Challenge division. The Triathlon features a stunning course, beginning and ending at Minneapolis' Lake Nokomis Lake Nokomis is one of several lakes in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The lake was originally named Lake Amelia in honor of Captain George Gooding’s daughter, Amelia, in 1819.  and covering a 27-mile path within the City's beautiful Parkway system. Both short- and international-distance courses will be offered. The short-distance course includes a .4-mile swim, 10-mile bike race and a 2.1-mile run. The international-distance course features a .75-mile swim, 21.3-mile bike race and 4.7-mile run.

The Event is a part of the Minneapolis Aquatennial, a ten-day premier Twin Cities civic celebration that upholds a 64-year community tradition and hosts more than 800,000 visitors.
