2003 AFS Texas Regional focuses on future of industry, technological advancements. (Metalcasting Associations).


The 2003 AFS A distributed file system for large, widely dispersed Unix and Windows networks from Transarc Corporation, now part of IBM. It is noted for its ease of administration and expandability and stems from Carnegie-Mellon's Andrew File System.

 Texas Regional Conference was held at the Adam's Mark Adam's Mark is a chain of five upscale hotels in the United States. , April 9-12, 2003, under the theme "Texas Roundup." The conference featured 14 technical sessions on a variety of topics, including austempered ductile iron, steel gating, induction furnaces and aluminum melt procedures.

Incoming MS Second Vice President James L. Keffer, president of EBAA Iron Sales, Inc., Eastland, Texas, and a member of the Texas State House of Representatives delivered a keynote luncheon speech. Keffer, who is currently serving as vice chairman of the House Ways and Means WAYS AND MEANS. In legislative assemblies there is usually appointed a committee whose duties are to inquire into, and propose to the house, the ways and means to be adopted to raise funds for the use of the government. This body is called the committee of ways and means.  Committee and Local & Consent Calendars Committee, recently received Texas Assn. of Business "Fighter for Free Enterprise Award."
