Australasia and Latin America also have significant pulp and paper industries. since 1970, Fadum has consulted in the Scandinavian, European, Asian, Latin American, and North American paper industries. He has also participated in the development of practical strategic plans for information technology and process control systems and in the education of paper industry management on the use and benefits of integrated information and control systems. Fadum has published more than 60 technical papers on the use of computers in the paper industry; written a column on process control for TAPPI JOURNAL and Pulp and Paper magazine; and contributed to a book on instrumentation applications for pulp and paper. He has taught seminars on Information technology and process control and publishes two monthly newsletters on information and processes control in the paper industry. Fadum a TAPPI member since 1975, is a past chairman of the Process Control, Electrical and Information Division. He helped organize the division's first conference in 1985.
