Byline: Vincent Bonsignore Staff Writer

Even defending league champions have question marks heading into a new season, which is why Quartz quartz, one of the commonest of all rock-forming minerals and one of the most important constituents of the earth's crust. ``She's doing well, but the biggest problem right now is that the shoulder still gets weak during practice and we have to sit her down and rest it,'' Vocke said. ``It's a concern, but hopefully it won't be a long-lasting problem.''

Coe was a backup to Randi Cooper last season, and with Cooper getting the majority of playing time, Coe wasn't able to gain much court experience. She was hoping the club season would get her up to speed, but the shoulder injury hampered those plans.

The good news is she'll be surrounded sur·round

Voyson, a second-team All-Southern Section pick last year, provides Quartz Hill with an intimidating in·tim·i·date

``She picks things up extremely fast, and she's such a physical talent, we think she has a very bright future,'' Vocke said.

``We'll see how it goes in terms of what we'll do with the lineup,'' Vocke said.

It helps that the Rebels return so many key players from last year's Golden League championship team, so even if some have to move around more than they're used to, it should not hinder hin·der 1

Vocke also expects sophomore Summer Plante to emerge as a consistent performer.

``It's a nice blend of experience and newcomers,'' Vocke said.

What it all means remains to be seen, although Vocke is intent on being cautious, at least early on.

``We definitely want to do as well as last year, and hopefully better,'' Vocke said. ``But you just never know.''
