2002 PLGA quality gravure awards.


The Packaging & Label Gravure Association received 71 entries for its annual awards competition this year, representing a 49 percent increase over last year. Awards were presented in 33 categories during the PLGA's annual meeting, held in late February in Clearwater Beach, FL.

JUDGES' COMMENTS: Five colors printed on a prop/prop laminate laminate,
n a thin slice of porcelain or plastic fabricated in a dental lab, which is cemented to the front of the teeth to cover gaps, whiten stained teeth, or reshape chipped or broken teeth.
. The customer tried to print this job flexo, but could not produce the desired effect in the mountains. Clean type and extensive coverage of blue.

JUDGES' COMMENTS: A unique product that is produced using proprietary technology and processes, involving seven steps and 15 layers. Outstanding black and gold density and very good registration, especially considering the multiple step process.

JUDGES' COMMENTS: The black lettering is sharp and the tone graduation is very good. The metallic brilliance complements the visual appeal of the finished container.

JUDGES' COMMENTS: Six colors printed on proprietary heat transfer substrate. A label with halftones that look quite good. Well printed vignettes.
