2002 NAMA Marketer of the Year Donald Hecht Elanco Animal Health. (Award Winners). The National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) has honored Donald Hecht, director of sales & marketing, Elanco Animal Health, with the NAMA Marketer of the Year award. The award was presented at the Best of NAMA/ Golden ARC Awards ceremony that kicked off this year's 2002 Agri-Marketing Conference & Trade Show, "Catch the Rhythm" in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, April 17. NAMA recognizes its active members with senior management of marketing and/or sales responsibilities with the NAMA Marketer of the Year award. This award is NAMA's most prestigious honor awarded to active members of the association and is designed to honor outstanding accomplishments in the field of agri-marketing. Hecht has overseen multiple new product introductions and line extensions for his company. Under his leadership, feed additive, Rumensin[R], has continued to dominate its category despite the introduction of several competitive products. Re-positioning, further licensing and innovative product tie-ins with this product have set a record of market leadership. His leadership qualities were integral in the formation of the Animal Agriculture Alliance. The Alliance brings diverse interests together to anticipate and offset those who oppose animal agriculture. Additionally, the Alliance seeks to dispel misconceptions about animal production and meat's place in a healthy diet. Hecht's commitment to NAMA includes his personal involvement on national strategic planning committees as well as others and his encouragement to Elanco staff members to be involved at the local chapter level and in national NAMA activities. |
