Presided over by FEF President Conner Warren, Citation Corp., and Conference Chairman and FEF Vice President Bob Smillie, Nemak of Canada Corp., the event centered on the future talent of the metalcasting industry: the 121 student delegates from FEF's 32 schools. In addition to providing both students and firms with a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with one another, the event served to distribute $85,000 in scholarships and awards. The conference featured a banquet at Navy Pier, followed by the conference program, industry information session (32 firms exhibiting to make contact for employment) and the student awards ceremony.
