, is the recipient of the 2002 Coating and Graphic Arts Division Technical Award. He also will receive the Charles W. Engelhard Medallion, which carries a US$ 1000 honorarium made possible by a gift to TAPPI from Engelhard Corporation.

Bousfield holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley The University of California, Berkeley is a public research university located in Berkeley, California, United States. A TAPPI member since 1988, Boustield has been Council member, Coating Fundamentals Committee member and chairman of the 1995 Coating Fundamentals Symposium. He also has been active with the Forest Products Division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) is a professional organization for chemical engineers.[1] AIChE was established in 1908 with the purpose of establishing chemical engineers as a profession independent from chemists and mechanical . He has received many research awards and grants; has authored book chapters, patents, and encyclopedia articles; and has written many journal articles during his career.

John O'Shea, retired regional sales manager--paper, J.M. Huber Corporation, is the recipient of the 2002 Coating and Graphic Arts Division Leadership & Service Award. He also receives the Protein Technologies International Medallion, which carries a US$1000 honorarium made possible by a gift to TAPPI from Protein Technologies, Inc.

O'Shea holds a B.S. degree in business administration from Louisiana Tech University Louisiana Tech University, at Ruston; coeducational; state supported; chartered 1894, opened 1895 as an industrial institute. It became Louisiana Polytechnic Institute in 1921 and attained university status in 1970. , and completed graduate level work at the University of New Orleans History
UNO was founded in 1958 as the New Orleans branch of Louisiana State University, originally as "Louisiana State University in New Orleans" or "LSUNO", but became more independent and changed the name to "University of New Orleans" in 1974.

O'Shea has been a TAPPI member since 1986. He has served as chairman, Specialty Coated Papers Committee; chairman, Coating Pigments Committee; and senior member. Coated Paperboard Committee. O'Shea also has served as Division Technical Program Coordinator of the Guest/Spousal Program for over 12 years, during which he has arranged exciting events for more than 1300 people. He also has been very active in the Lake States, Kalamazoo Valley, Virginia-Carolina Southeast, and South Central Local Sections of TAPPI.

In addition to his TAPPI activities O'Shea is a PIMA member and has been active: with many New Orleans civic and business organizations.
