2001 Moves.B.E. changes venue for two events BLACK ENTERPRISE is making moves next year, so you may want to plan accordingly. In 2001, the third annual Black Enterprise/AXA Advisors Ski Challenge, January 10-15, will settle into a new location: the Vail Vail (vāl), town (1990 pop. 3,569), Eagle co., W central Colo., on Gore Creek, in the Gore Range of the Rocky Mts.; founded as a ski resort 1962, inc. as a town 1966. Surrounded by the White River National Forest, Vail is one of the nation's largest ski resorts and an important summer recreation area. Cascade Resort, Vail, Colorado. Located at the base of Vail Mountain, the resort is a triple-A four-diamond property. Selected as one of the premier hotels in the world by Conde Nast Travel magazine, Vail Cascade boasts 291 newly remodeled rooms, with mountain or courtyard views, in-room movies, and luxury bath amenities. There are also 73 condominiums and 28 spacious suites with saunas, whirlpool baths, and wet bars. Visitors to the Vail Cascade enjoy access to about 250 shops and 150 restaurants w/thin a two-mile radius of the resort. Similar to the Ski Challenge, which grew from 400 to 600 participants in its second year, the Black Enterprise/Bank of America Entrepreneurs Conference has outgrown its digs at Disney's Contemporary Resort in Orlando. Last year, approximately 1,500 people attended the event--making it the largest BE event ever. The 2001 Entrepreneurs Conference, May 15-20, moves to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.
