2001 Excellence in Aquatics Award Winners.


The National Recreation and Park Association National Aquatic Section presented the 2001 Excellence in Aquarius awards at its national conference recently in Orlando, Florida The city of Orlando is a major city in central Florida and is the county seat of Orange County, Florida. Walter Johnson, Executive Director, NRPA Aquatic Section, receives the 2000 Special Recognition Award from National Aquatic Section President Ray Morrill, for his vision and efforts in creating the National Aquatic Section, National Aquatic Conference, AFO AFO Ankle-foot orthosis  Program and numerous aquatic education opportunities and publications. The award was presented at the 16th annual NRPA Aquatic Conference/National Aquatic Management School held in Orlando, Florida.
